Led by an inspired spell of fast bowling by Mohammed Shami, India kept their unbeaten record at the Wanderers Stadium in Johannesburg intact with a 63-run win on the fourth day of the third Test; however, South Africa claimed the three-match series 2-1.
Chasing 241 to win, South Africa were cruising at 124/1 at one stage; but thanks to Shami’s 5/28 and able support from the other end, the Indian pacers took the last nine South African wickets for just 53 runs in the final two sessions of play on the penultimate day of the Test.
